This past weekend I headed to L.A to attend the 2012 MTV Movie Awards!
I was pretty excited for a couple reasons: 1. I was getting to go home to Los Angeles for a few days and catch up with friends and family (reunited and it felt so good!) and 2. Even though I’ve been to a gazillion awards shows to cover them for work, this was my first time doing the red carpet! #oooowwwww
MTV sent a driver to swoop me (hi Henry!) and before I knew it I was at the Gibson Amphitheatre strutten down the carpet with my Hip Hop POV co-host Charlamagne the God. Once we made it through the photos and interviews we headed inside and ended up sitting right behind the cast of Twilight and in-between Jennifer Aniston and my new fav band Fun.
I thought Russell Brand did an amazing job and in between the sips of the patron Charlamagne smuggled in and kick ass performances from folks like Wiz Khalifa, I had a great time! The after party was amaze but the moment I got to go home and peel my spanx off was EVERYTHING. Check out the pics of my day below plus a vid of my fav awards show moment!
