Los Angeles native, Devon “Devi Dev” Anjelica was drawn to radio at an early age and spent her childhood dreaming of one day having her voice heard on the airwaves. Devi Dev first broke onto the airwaves while still in college when she joined Los Angeles’ 93.5 KDAY, where her talents were quickly noticed at top markets in the country. During her tenure at the station she rose from intern to premiere personality & music director.
After conquering Los Angeles, Dev headed East to Radio One’s 97.9 The Box (KBXX) in Houston becoming the #1 rated midday show and then quickly onto New York City to join entertainment legend Sway Calloway to co-host the national radio show, Sway in the Morning on Sirius XM’s Shade 45.
Soon Devi Dev’s versatility and professionalism impressed the MTV Network, who tapped her to host their nationally syndicated show, “Hip Hop POV”, which debuted in March 2012. In addition, she is frequently featured on both MTV and MTV2 Networks to offer her expert commentary.
Throughout her career, Devi Dev has become known for her engaging interview style and has conducted interviews with the biggest names in entertainment; including Kanye West, Quincy Jones, Mark Walhberg, Nicki Minaj, Jamie Foxx, Shaquille O’Neal, Kim Cattrall and Dr. Dre.
Devi Dev has been featured and interviewed by numerous top tier media outlets such as CNN, TMZ, Entertainment Tonight, and Good Morning America. She has also been chosen to represent top brands such as Bud Light, Pepsi and Ovation Cell Therapy for their voice campaigns.
In 2013 she co-founded Power Play Women, a non-profit that pairs young career driven women with high level mentors. Currently Devi is an on-air personality for Radio One, a television pop culture correspondent and a travel writer. She resides in Los Angeles and Houston with her husband, NFL Left Tackle Duane Brown.
