Was digging through my iTunes making an R&B playlist (ssshhh im a simp) and found this drop from when we had a “Konvict take over” at the station ages ago. Akon, R.City, Ray, and Colby came through. Anywho…here’s the drop Ray Lavender did for me. Wonder where he’s been, That boy can sang!

Fresh Fest was so damn fun. Almost a week later and I think im still feeling the effects from it. SMH. This was our official re-introduction to society (93.5 KDAY). We kicked off the launch with a Concert featuring DJ Quik, Naughty by Nature, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, 2nd II None, Whodini, and Doug E Fresh at the Nokia Theatre. POPPIN. Sold out crowd, all races, all ages. Hip Hop still sells.
My favorite performance was Naughty by Nature. I almost forgot for a second that they were from the East Coast as many times as they threw up the dub. Not to mention they did a tribute set in honor of Tupac where Treach poured out a lil liquor onto the Pac tattoo on his forearm. Lol.

The Clipse came by the studio to hang with me at 93.5 KDAY when they hit L.A. Below is a snippet of the interview. We talked about why Pharrell is more poppin then Chad, Malice’s new book, the Album, and Onyx (not everyone knows about onyx..HA). They were fun!

The Hip Hop Superheros Crooked i, Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, and Royce Da 5′9 stoped by my show at 93.5 KDAY in L.A while they were out here for Rock the Bells. Crooked is my fam but this was my first time being in the same spot with all of them at the same time and wow…their personalities meshed together is bananas. Ive got some hardknock tv footage of it coming soon, but in the mean time check this snippet from the interview where I confront Joe about blocking me on twitter and Crooked talks about his “unique” tattoo lol.

I had a ubber man fest in the studio on Sunday. O.N.E, Mishon, and my Young Tenda’s BenJ and Legacy of The New Boyz took over my show from 2-6pm on 93.5 KDAY. They all stopped by before they headed to the “Beat FM Summer night concert series” at The Conga Room. They are so Hilarious! Forgot to save the audio but the Pics are worth a thousand words lol.

Ginuwine stopped by my show at 93.5 KDAY in L.A after he dropped “last chance”, the first single on his new album “A Man’s thoughts”.
I have loved his music forever, but what I really enjoy about this new album is the maturity. He knows what his lane is. He knows how to convey other sides of Love and Sex that the new crops of singers like Chris Brown, and Jeremiah haven’t yet experienced.

Fresh off her “I am Music” tour with Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, and T-pain, Keri Hilson stopped by 93.5 KDAY to chop it up with me. Felt like straight slumper party girl talk. I really like this chick. Very down to earth with a hustler’s swag. Everyone might not know this but she’s been in the game for a veryyyyy long time. She deserves every ounce of the success she’s getting.
First things first I had to ask about the rumors about her vs. Beyonce and Ciara but pop the hood for Pt. 2 and 3.
He doesn’t know it. But David Blake has been a part of my life since the moment I heard ”Sweet Black P*ssy” blaring through the speakers of my Aunts Nissan 240sx. I was 10 and my world was forever changed.

Dramatic…yes. But DJ Quik is one of the many reason’s I love the west coast. As an artist, producer, and musician he is a force bigger then himself.
We’ve run into each other 100’s of times but I finally Got the chance to sit down with him at 93.5 KDAY right before his new album (with Kurupt) “The Blaqkout” dropped.
