In part 2 we talk about how Kendrick Lamar & Schoolboy Q joined TDE, why Kendrick switched up from “K.Dot”, and how Kendrick’s family reacted to the DJ Quik & Dr. Dre co-sign.
Pt. 3 Kendrick shares the advice that HE gives to Dr. Dre about being relevant in the age of social networking and digital media. Plus what is to come from him and his collaborations in the next year.
I sat down with Kendrick Lamar & Schoolboy Q this week! Here, the two talk about what goes into their live show, Kendrick explains how it felt for Dre to come out with him on stage in LA (plus the song he will make about experience) and Schoolboy Q says he didn’t think he was ready to charge for his music on Setbacks.
Enjoy! Parts 2 and 3 on the way…
Round of applause for Kendrick Lamar! As if bringing out J.Cole, Big Sean, Dom Kennedy & Problem wasn’t enough, the Los Angeles native served the Key Club’s SOLD OUT crowd a BAR when the good Dr. hopped on stage & told us all something we already knew “Kendrick Lamar is doin Big sh*t!”
Nick Huff Barili & Mark Anthony Jenkins caught up with Kendrick Lamar! Kendrick talks meeting Dre and possibly working with him!
#DOPE

No longer just Dre’s production prodigy, Dawaun Parker unleashed this new track earlier to let us know he can tear up the mic too. I’m definitely diggin it!

This video is dope!
In 1991 Ice Cube took on the most dangerous group in the world with one of the best diss songs ever recorded.
“Got damn I’m glad ya’ll set it off!”
Aftermath artist Slim the Mobster called in to me while he was in the studio working on the “Official Kush Remix”. We talked about him signing to the good Doctor and why he believes that although many have been signed before him, his will be the album that drops. Slim also describes the process of ghost writing records for Dre (200 of them to be exact!), what “Detox” will be reflective of and why he went to prison for a year right after signing to Aftermath.
Very fun guy to chat with!
