Let me pick up where we left off…
On March 10, 2011 Terrace Martin & I released The SEX ep, an 11 track project with features from Hi-Tek, 9th Wonder and Lloyd. On March 15, 2011 I personally received a cease & desist letter from an attorney acting on behalf of Kris Jenner & Kim Kardashian for use of Kim’s breasts (sans face) on the original cover artwork. Unfortunately soon after the link was deaded by the Kardashian team. After much back and forth between our lawyers and theirs we are now able to release to you The SEX ep “Cease & Desist” edition.

Brought to you by Terrace Martin & Devi Dev, “The SEX ep” is exclusively produced by Terrace Martin with features that include Hi-Tek, 9th Wonder, Lloyd, Problem and more. The idea for The SEX ep spawned after the incredible response to the heavy jazz influence & live instrumentation on the pairs previous effort “Here, My Dear” and the noticeable lack of sensuality in much of the music released as of late. Though originally slated to have only 6 tracks, “The SEX (now album sized) ep” grew to be much more. If directions were to come with this project, they would read something like “Take your clothes off and press play“
DL & Track list after the jump!

We got crazy #ReflectionWasted (chocolate wasted voice). The next morning, they ended up at the location on time ,rested and fully hydrated. I on the other hand, got stuck in crazy traffic (an hr late), was in desperate need of electrolytes and to top it off…forgot my makeup.
I say all that to say…don’t judge my appearance. Lol.
We chopped it up about the new album, the oil spill, Obama’s first term, and collabo’s.

Old hits and the new album with a surprise performance by DJ Quik and a freestyle from Affion Crockett sprinkled in! Strong Arm Steady and U-N-I kicked the sold out show off!
From there we headed to hot spot “Teddy’s” and all i remember are bottles, and then it was morning lol.
Big shouts to my girl DJ Eque for having me rolling all night (love her)!
Look what Santa brought me….new music from Reflection Eternal. This track is called “Just Begun” and it features Jay Electronica, Mos Def, and J Cole. It’ll be on their new album “Revolutions Per Minute” (side note…I LOVE that title). I actually had the chance to hear the whole album a couple weeks ago and its BANANAS! They have some really dope collabo’s and the skits on it are HILARIOUS. Take a listen below
xoxo,
Devi
